Welcome to my Izannah Walker 2019 Birthday Celebration ~ Day 2 ~ Taking a Closer Look at Tilly Lamb

As part of this year’s festivities I thought it might be nice to show you a detailed look at one of my antique Izannah Walker dolls. I hope you enjoy it ❤

Tilly Lamb and I made this video while the birthday cake was in the oven. Here is the recipe so that you can bake a Rose Geranium Pound Cake to serve at your own birthday tea. ~

3 tsp. vanilla

1/4 tsp. rose water

  1. Hi Paula, What a lovely video, it was so interesting and helpful. In fact, now I know what I need to do today. One of my dolls has the exact trouble that Tilly Lamb has with her dress, as it is made out of brown fabric, and is slitting and falling apart. So, I think I will do a photo shoot of her today while wearing the beautiful brown dress, and then I will need to pack it safely away. Kind of sad to have to do that, but it would be even more sad to lose the dress. Thank you for the recipe and photos to help us make the birthday cake! It looks so delicious, and I think we will need to try baking that cake here. I love cakes with glazed frosting! And I absolutely love the little beeswax candles that you found. I’ve never seen those before. Thank you for another fun birthday post! Love, Susie

  2. Hi Susie!

It is sad to have to pack away the original dresses. I always just hate to do it, but there is a point when they have so many problems that you just have to. I hope your photo shoot went well!

It’s a great cake! Very easy to make and it keeps a long time. Aren’t those candles wonderful? They are beeswax and they smelled so good when I opened the box! I found them at the Rookery, when I went on the Tasha Tudor garden tour in June ❤

    Love,
    Paula
