This afternoon I finished making this doll for Shirley. She is now winding her way west to her new home in Illinois.
A New Doll for Shirley
Published by paulawalton
My name is Paula Walton. I’m a working craftsperson. I’ve been self-employed since 1986, when I started selling the items that I make under the name A Sweet Remembrance. Among other things, I am a doll maker, a dressmaker that specializes in reproduction women’s and children’s clothing, maker of spun cotton ornaments and holiday figures, and a freelance designer. Upon occasion I write magazine articles and am a Craftsperson in Residence. I teach and do demonstrations quite frequently, plus I was previously the director and curator of a small museum in Connecticut. View all posts by paulawalton
Love her shoes. I also love the red shoes that I have seen on some of your other dolls. Do you make shoes for sale?
Ieva,
Thank you! I’m very fond of the brightly colored shoes too 🙂 So far I really only make the shoes to go with my dolls. I don’t have the patterns sized to fit other dolls. If you want shoes for a specific doll please email me with the size (length and width) and I can tell you if my shoes would fit. I charge $75.00 a pair for my hand made Izannah shoes.

Hi Paula, she is wonderful. Has Shirley named her yet? Looks likes she is already for the Holidays, and to join her new owner. Just lovely.
Fondly, Mary G.
Hi Mary,
I don’t think she has a name yet. Her new family includes a collection of papier-mache Greiners.
