Izzybelle is very excited to be going on her first vacation! I’ve promised her that if she is a good girl she can go sightseeing and visit with all of the other dolls that are going to be in San Antonio this week. If you would like to read about what Izzybelle and I are doing at the convention, check back here during the week or stop by facebook or Pinterest to see Izzybelle’s posts.
A huge thank you to everyone for your patience while I’ve been getting ready for the convention. I know that I owe several of you photos of fabric swatches! While I’m in Texas you may still email me or you can call 860-355-5709 if you need to reach me and my family will to relay your message to me.
If you will be attending the convention please stop by my table at the Artist’s Showcase in the UFDC Salesroom on Saturday the 19th from 12:00 -7:00 to say hi!
Izzybelle and Paula, Have a great time, I can’t imagine how excited I would be to walk in and see you and Izzybelle there, in person! How lucky for the attendees! Safe travels!!
Thank you Marilyn!!!
All the best of luck with your show! I hope you knock them off their socks with your beautiful Izannah Dolls!!! I wish I could be one of the lucky ones to and be able to see your table and chat. Yes, and do drive safely. Hugs, Charlotte
Charlotte,
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Once we drive to NYC, we are flying! Another first for Izzybelle.
Love,
Paula
Paula:
Have a wonderful time with all the dollies and doll lovers. I can only imagine how much fun you will have. I went last year to Washington and had a wonderful time. Have a safe trip. Still hoping to make a doll from the class I purchased from you a couple or more years ago. I have to admit, I am a bit intimidated. I am retired but still too busy for that as yet. I promise myself I will get to it. Again, have a wonderful time.

Charlene,
Thank you! This is my first UFDC convention. I hope I have as great a time as you did. All I can say about making the dolls is, Just jump right in, don’t think about it too much. It is sort of intimidating, even for me, if I contemplate the project as a whole. I find it works better just to concentrate on one step at a time. Please do give making a reproduction Izannah a try. It is enormously rewarding!
Paula
Hi Paula, it’s late and I’m just checking emails for the day. Made 17 jars of Blueberry Jam today. I just wanted to stop by and wish you well at the show and to have safe travels for you and Brian. I love the canvas bag with your dolls on the front, very inspirational. I know you will meet lots of interested collectors. Being a first convention to UFDC is a special gift.
Relax, enjoy the flight and good luck. ❤ Fondly, Mary Goddard.
Mary,
Thanks! We left home at 3:30 this morning for a 6:00 am flight out of LaGuardia with a connection in Chicago O’Hare. The flights went perfectly! So all is well. On the home front, my son picked a gallon of black currants out of my garden this afternoon, so jam making will be in my future too 🙂
Love,
Paula
Have a fabulous time Paula, knock their socks off with your beautiful dolls, ♥
Thanks Judi! I’ll try 🙂
Hi Paula,
Wishing you and Izzybelle and Brian safe journey, hope you have a great time. I have a few friends who will be attending UFDC Maryanne Oldenburg (doll maker) and Suzanne McBrayer ( a really great French doll maker).
Isn’t Izzybelle going to have a special dress? I love the bag too it will be nice for her to travel in.
Safe journey,
Suzanne Blakeslee
Suzanne,
Thank you! We are in San Antonio! Izzybelle was very well behaved on the flights. Since it’s so HOT (104 degrees) and she is just a little girl I’m letting her run around without much in the way of clothing 🙂 Plus we are hoping to do a little dress shopping while we are here, so it will be easier to try on clothes this way! She would like to find an antique dress or two to take home to her older sister.
More dolmakers! It would be fun if I happen to meet them at the convention.
Hugs,
Paula
