The issue is SOLD OUT! I just received a sneak peek of the September issue of Antique Doll Collector! It is going to be a wonderful Izannah-filled issue!!! If you are not already a subscriber to the magazine, you may want to hurry up and order a subscription! See if they will let you start with the August 2017 issue so that you can read the great article Joy Harrington wrote about an amazing mid-19th century doll wardrobe in her collection, A Mid 19th Century Wardrobe for a New England Girl. While the actual wardrobe isn’t an Izannah Walker wardrobe, it is all from the same time period and you do not want to miss a chance to see it! I can’t wait to read Joy’s article “Izannah Aprons” A Closer Look in the September issue. ❤ I have it on good authority that there will be at least one additional article about Izannah Walker dolls in Antique Doll Collector during 2017. ❤ ❤ ❤

Hi Paula, The magazine cover looks amazing! I’m so excited to see this issue! The minute it arrives, I plan to sit down and enjoy the articles and pictures! Thank you for all of your hard work that you do to bring us amazing dolls, cloths, articles, etc… I just love your Izannah Walker dolls so much! Love, Susie
Thank you Susie!!!
I’m really looking forward to reading through this issue too. 🙂 I just love aprons, so I am excited about Joy Harrington’s article, plus I am curious how mine is going to look in real print… I’ve seen the lay-out proofs, but there is just something special about paper and ink! I’m a paper girl at heart. I actually enjoyed researching my article quite a lot. It took a long time, but I had the pleasure of going back and reading through 80 years worth of books and magazines, not to mention all of the great online resources. Some truly wonderful people also gave me permission to use their photographs in the article, so I had the chance to chat back and forth with some great doll lovers. 🙂
I hope you’ll like it!
Love,
Paula
Hi Paula, Any antique doll that comes with a wardrobe of clothing I find special, it’s so easy to loose small items over time. There are many reasons to treasure them. The fabrics, the construction, the trimming, the design are just some reasons for interest. They can be made by adults and other times by children who perhaps originally owned the doll. Aprons are also a love of mine. I just hope I can get these two issues!
