Happy 199th Birthday Izannah Walker! – Part 5 -All Reproduction Dolls Have Been SOLD – Thank you!
Welcome back to my celebration of Izannah Walker’s 199th birthday! I have three of my reproduction Izannah Walker dolls who are looking for homes of their own. Two of the dolls are twins and are only being sold as a pair, because they can not bear to be parted from one another. ❤
Annabelle & Annalee SOLD Thank You so much for looking!!!!
Annabelle and Annalee are twins made from my mold of the original antique Izannah Walker doll Anna. The sisters are approximately 16.5 inches tall. Their painted boots have laces and red trim around the tops. The girls have matching underwear and will have matching “double pink” dresses with fitted bodices and sleeves. Although I’m sure that Annalee is hoping that you won’t notice, one of the sleeves on her dress has had to be remade in similar, but not exactly matching fabric. Annabelle scolded her quite severely when she tore it! You can tell that Annalee is the more adventurous twin, she is ever so slightly more worn than her more virtuous sister. Annalee is the twin who climbs up the apple tree to pick the apples, while Annabelle stays on the ground and catches them in the skirt of her apron. I’ll be finishing the girl’s petticoats and dresses this coming week. As I am sure you can tell from today’s previous posts, sweet Cloe has been here with us quite a bit lately, which means that grandma’s doll making schedule has had a few revisions… The twins come with matching antique pins, coral bead necklaces and their own trunk, which can hold all of their belongings. The twins can be yours for $ 2765.00 are SOLD. Add an extra every day dress for each of them for $400.00, or matching party dresses for $500.00. Matching pinafore aprons like the one Hannah was wearing earlier today for an extra $300.00, or purchase my Izannah Walker doll clothes pattern and sew a wardrobe for the twins. The clothing pattern is $29.00 and is sized to fit 18 inch Izannahs so you’ll need to reduce it to 91% of full size to fit the Annas.
Izzybelle is SOLD
I have one sweet little 14.5 inch, barefoot Izzybelle for sale SOLD. She is $1300.00 and comes with a full set of underwear and a dress. You will be able to choose her clothing style and fabrics. Add handmade leather shoes and socks for $75.00, or an extra dress for $200.00 – $250.00. You can use my Izannah Walker doll clothes pattern to sew for Izzybelle if you reduce it to 82% of full size.
You’ve heard of having 2 left feet, as you can see I got quite the surprise when I started to put Izzybelle together today! I had four left arms!!! That probably tells you how my week has gone… Especially since I worked on those arms for over a week and didn’t notice!!! They are such NICE arms too… Never fear Izzybelle will be getting a right arm. I’m starting on it in the morning. 🙂

Lily #2 is SOLD

SOLD- Thank You! I’ve just finished making Lily #2’s pantalettes, petticoat and sun bonnet. Now that she is finished she is looking for a new home to call her own.
I am able to offer you reproductions of Lily due to the amazing generosity of my friend Susie, who owns the real Lily. I am currently almost finished restoring the original Lily and Susie very kindly told me that she wanted me to make a mold from her while she was here. I’ll be chronicling Lily’s restoration journey here in the upcoming weeks. Lily has a very classic Izannah head and at 17 inches is the middle stair step between my Isabeau and Izzybelle.

SOLD – If you have any questions about Lily #2, or would like to welcome her into your doll family, please email me at paula@asweetremembrance.com or call 860-355-5709 during business hours. Oops! I almost forgot to mention that shipping is free to any U.S. address and that lay-away is also available. 🙂

Shirley’s Doll Part Two
Yesterday I had to hurry through my photo shoot with Shirley’s doll, due to the setting sun and fast approaching evening. So today I took a few more photos. 🙂

Pamela’s Doll

I’ve just finished a very special reproduction Izannah Walker doll for Pamela. I was fortunate enough to get to meet Pamela at the 2014 UFDC convention, where we had a great time chatting and planning all of the details for this doll. She is made from my mold of Anna, an adorable little antique Izannah Walker doll that belongs to my friend Mary.

A Special Doll for Susan

I’ve just finished working on this reproduction of Isabeau for Susan. She is an 18-1/2 inch tall reproduction Izannah Walker doll. For Susan’s doll I reproduced the cracked and peeling paint surfaces on the original Isabeau that I made her mold from. The paint and layers of paste on her nose have been worn away, down to the underlying stockinette, just like on the original.
This doll has an antique pink linen second skin, like many of Izannah Walker’s earliest dolls did. Her dress is made from a wonderful thin white cotton, which has aged to a pale ecru. It has a skirt with four narrow tucks and a gathered ruffle of broderie anglaise, gathered sleeves banded with additional eyelet trim, an antique cotton tape drawstring at the neck of the dress, which is embellished with eyelet and tatting, and a wide waistband with eyelet and embroidered cotton ribbon. Her chemise is made from antique lace trimmed cotton and her pantalettes were originally part of a pair of women’s 19th century panteletts. She has two petticoats made from antique cotton and broderie anglaise. Her stockings were made from bits of antique cotton stockings and her shoes are handmade red leather.

This little Isabeau is so looking forward to beginning her travels, as she is longing to make the acquaintance of her new family ❤
Susie’s Lily Too!
It is my very great pleasure to introduce you to “Lily Two”. She is a special commission doll, that is the very first doll made from a mold of the original Lily. This little reproduction Lily is going to be living with her older sister, the real Lily, and will no doubt acquire a new name of her very own when she goes home. 🙂

Thank you so much for dropping by to meet Lily. We enjoyed having you come visit! Please come back to see us soon ❤
❤ ❤ ❤ I have been searching for months for thin antique black velvet ribbon to use on the original Lily’s dress. If anyone should happen to have any that they are selling or know where some can be found, will you please send me a note at paula@asweetremembrance.com ? Thank you!!!
BOTH ARE NOW SOLD – Painted Head Available for Use with my Izannah Walker Doll Making Kits

HEAD #1 SOLD

I am excessively fond of the way this head turned out! I debated long and hard about whether or not I should paint her and if I did, if I should offer her for sale, since technically she is not a perfect reproduction of the original Izannah Walker doll I made her mold from. I’m extremely glad that I decided that a little variety is sometimes a very good thing.
To enhance the baby like look of her face, I chose a rather uncommon Izannah hair style for her. The Carmel Doll Shop once had a magnificent antique Izannah Walker doll with hair painted similarly. If you frequent their website, you may remember her. She was dressed in an amazing off white dress with a great deal of white braid work trim and she wore a necklace of white beads. This hair style has very short wispy center parted bangs, with little fringes of hair at the temples brushed towards the face and six ringlets at the back of the head. Six is a very unusual number of long curls for an Izannah Walker doll, it is much more common to see five or seven. The large Izannah that I reproduce has nine.
SOLD – THANK YOU FOR LOOKING If you are interested in purchasing this head please email me at paula@asweetremembrance.com or call me at 860-355-5709 during east coast business hours. The head sells for $375.00 with the full kit or $340.00 if you already own one of my Izannah kits or classes.

HEAD #2 SOLD
I’ve listed this head as Buy It Now on eBay. Click here to view my auction listing. SOLD

UNPAINTED HEADS
If you are feeling adventuresome, I have one Izannah Kit, with an unpainted head up for auction on eBay and I also have another kit with an unpainted head in stock and ready to ship immediately that may be ordered through my website.
Just a little braging about one of my students…

Vicki Leeke sent me these photos of dolls that she was working during my Izannah retreat last September. You may remember Vicki from one of my previous posts about her lovely leather flowers and leaves and the amazingly thoughtful Izannah pins she made for everyone who attended the retreat.
Vicki made “Charlotte” using a head and body parts that she had me pre-make for her prior to the start of the retreat. Vicki did all of the hand sewing to put Charlotte’s pieces together, painted her, and made all of her clothing. If I remember correctly, Charlotte’s dress is made from vintage fabric that Vicki came across at home in Australia… I can’t remember if she told me that she dyed the fabric or not… either way it is a luscious shade of rose.
Mr. Pospisel started out as a head that Vicki made just so that she could experiment with one of my plaster molds. She kept working on him so that she could practice hand sewing the two halves of the pressed cloth head together. After she got that far she was hooked! Before long “Mr. Pospisel” had acquired a name from an anecdote told to us by Peggy Flavin during the class, and his life history soon followed. Vicki took him back to Australia, where she finished bringing him to life. He is wearing the most wonderful suit, that really shows off Vicki’s proficiency when sewing with wool. Making all of her wonderful felt dolls has obviously paid off 🙂
Vicki is planning to enter them in a doll show in Sydney in November. Keep your fingers crossed that they win an armful of awards!

If you can’t tell, all of my students make me feel just like a proud mom! This is the virtual equivalent of pulling a fistful of photographs out of my wallet to show you 🙂
